Spanish soprano Laura Alonso Padín was born in Villagarcía de Arosa (Galicia) and has performed regularly at internationally renowned theatres and concert halls such as the Auditorium Rishon Le Zion (Israel), Lincoln Center in New York, Teatro Bellas Artes in Mexico, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Philharmonie Cologne, Berlin and Essen, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Konzerthaus Berlin, Karlsruhe and Dortmund, Hannover Kuppel Saal, Smetana Hall Prague, Herkulessaal Munich, Maestranza in Seville, Herodes Atticus in Athens, Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, Utrecht Auditorium, Los Angeles Auditorium (USA), Palau de les Arts in Valencia and Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, among others.
She is also the winner of distinguished prizes in international singing competitions. Some highlights include the first prize in the last Alfredo Kraus competition, the Franco Corelli competition, Verviers and Jaume Aragall.

Laura holds degrees in singing and violin and from the Musikhochschule of Karlsruhe in Germany, where she studied with Aldo Baldin, Anna Reynolds, Jean Cox, and Hartmut Höll, and received the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt scholarship.
She has prepared emerging professionals from around the world for success in the European audition process including students from China, Mexico, USA, and several other European countries. She has deep knowledge about the expectations and needs of those wanting to audition in Switzerland, Austria and Germany with a special focus on German diction.
Her experience as a singer and teacher has led her to realize that the operatic profession is not rosy journey, and has made it her charge to leave upcoming young professionals the tools needed to continue carrying the sacred torch that is opera.
She had the privilege of personally working with legendary soprano Montserrat Caballé, where she learned not only proper vocal technique, but also about the attitude amd devotion required to be a successful operatic artist.
